Message from the Team
It's been an exciting few weeks here in the Calxa office: We've had record attendances for our monthly Web Chats (and it's been great to talk to so many of you); we've expanded our team – some of you have already spoken with Francis and you'll talk to Kate soon enough; we've had our first customer from Scotland join the Calxa Community. We now have customers on 4 of the 7 continents - Antarctica may be tough to conquer but I'm sure our sales team will get to the others before too long!
Our development team is putting the finishing touches to the first phase of KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reporting enhancements and handing them over to the testing team. In our next update you'll be able to report on standard ratios comparing Wages to Turnover, Cost of Sales percentage, Debt Ratio, Return on Equity and more. We're working on some clear documentation to explain these to non-accountants so don't worry if they're not familiar to you. You'll be able to use the ones that make sense in your organisation and, if you're using Premier, you'll have the option to customise and create your own KPIs.
Our team will be in Sydney for the CU2012 conference from 1-3 May and our Info Session and Calxa Club on the Friday 4 May. Make sure to drop in.
Happy budgeting,
Shem Customer Support shem@calxa.com

Shireen Stringer, Financial Controller Grand Mercure Nelson Monaco I am trialling Calxa and have been really impressed so far with the software and Shem’s help. I have a meeting with my directors tomorrow morning to go over our forecasts and I am hoping to dazzle them with my flash new reports (and convince them I need to buy your program!)

QuickBooks Upgrade is OK, Hold Off with MYOB 2011 still
We have successfully tested Calxa with the latest QuickBooks 2012/13 release and upgrading will require no changes to Calxa. For MYOB users of AccountRight and AccountRight Plus, we still advise you NOT to upgrade to AccountRight 2011 as that will prevent you updating to Calxa.

Tip of the Month: Filter your view in the Budget Grid
Did you know that you can limit the budget grid to show only the parts you want it to display? You can choose Profit and Loss accounts, Balance Sheet accounts, or All Accounts. You can further filter what is displayed by selecting only some account types. To do this, simply click on the Account Types drop-down menu and choose the accounts you want to show.
